Disappointed :(
Called dealer today as today was the day they were supposed to know when my car will arrive.
Well, apparently they did not get my car, as they had 'problems' getting cars in Cosmic gray color. So... next shipment 'should' be in January. They did offer I could get Alabaster Silver color in few days tho (same equipment)... I'm quite disappointed now, and dunno what to do... waiting another X months is really killing me, while on the other hand I'm not so sure about Alabaster Silver color - haven't seen yet one in live, but on pics it didn't look that good to me - although on the other hand it's color that is easiest to maintain (hard to spot dust on, etc, etc..). I will most likely go tomorrow to the dealer to check that car, but dunno what to do.... |

Yep, Cosmic grey.
Anyhow, just back from dealer. Actaully, first time checked Alabaster silver in live - and it does look much better in live than on photos. Also, as a sidenote, I was a bit disappointed with NHB - in pictures it looks fab, but in live I was far from impressed - actually was quite depressed as it looked much worse in live. All in all, after some initial thoughts I think I might go for alabaster one. I'll still sleep on it and decide what to do. Also, as for Cosmic gray - they *should* arrive in january, but they aren't 100% certain... |

I would say go for the silver... After all, you will be sitting inside, where you won't have a single chance to see any part of the exterior!
Plus, you say that you have liked it. Get your UFO while you can.... And enjoy it! |

Well, frankly.. I first saw silver color on this tie in gallery
And from looking there it didn't look good at all. After seeing it in live, I changed my mind Well.. still have some time to decide.. but now also thinking if I get that color that 'image pack' would look real nice too... hmm... more cash down the drain |

For what it's worth, this is my Alabaster Silver with most of the image pack (no bootlid spoiler):
Alabaster Silver Lidl Special Silver is definitely great for hiding the dirt I must say. And it does look mean with the image pack That said, I've seen both the Champagne Silver in the flesh and the Blueish Silver too. Both are really nice colours and, if truth be told, probably more interesting than ordinary silver. But I'd certainly have my reservations about Blueish Silver with the image pack for example (as it's a softer shade which stands at odds with the aggressive front spoiler, IMHO). So, if you think you'll get bored with normal silver and really want to go for a light metallic with the image pack, I'd say go for Champagne Silver! |

Great choice. Silver was my 3rd choice behind NHB and Red, but since my wife doesn't like red it was effectively my 2nd choice. After all, they ALL look good whatever the colour.

Good choice!
I wonder why they haven't orange colour like they had when new Civic was introduced (maybe prototype). At least Ford Focus's orange looks pretty nice. |

Waiting for a grey one would be a long wait, unless they got an old car from somewhere. Wise move to get silver as you'd be disappointed after waiting a few more months.

Well, the car is currently at customs. It takes some time untill it actually arrives to dealer, but most likely it'll be next week, at worst week after that.
Seems I'm counting days now (instead of months) Tomorrow also need to go to bank to see about loans, etc... |
