Leather interior, glass roof
I am just wondering, I have a few days till I pick up my Civic Exe 1.8. I have ordered the glass roof and leather interior which I saw was priced at the Honda UK website at £1200 for both. I am pretty sure that deal includes VAT. I was quoted one price at the dealer but looks like on my order sheet I will be charged £1295. The thing is that I live in the Channel Islands and therefore do not pay VAT. Can someone tell me if the website prices at Honda are inclusive of VAT. Or how much they paid for their leather and glass roof combo. I expressed concern with my dealer and said the price should be cheaper and he said he would sort out something when I collect (which is any day). I just want to be armed with a fair price.
Thanks in advance. |

£1200 is inclusive of VAT in the Honda accessories listing. Your dealer should be able to explain how much you will need to pay, before you collect the car. Have you ordered any other extras which could come to this price when added together.?

The price of £1200 was mentioned initially then on the order sheet it was £1295. I have ordered Storm 18" wheels (£895) and parking sensors. Its just that as the roof and leather comes from the factory we should benefit from a VAT free price reduction as should the wheels I guess. I am also just getting a vague (sort it out when you collect) - which obviously I am not too happy about.

I can't figure out what has happened as the leather/glass pack should be £1021.28 (£1200 inc VAT) to you the wheels should be £723.40 (£850 inc VAT) and sensors at dealerfit are £390.00 inc VAT. ???? I think you need to ask the dealer for the exact amount owing and a breakdown of how they work it out.
