Car arrives tomorrow?

Hi all,

Well, it looks like my car will be arriving with me tomorrow - although I'll believe it when I see it!!

Apart from the wonderful checklist given on this website, is there anything I should pay particular attention to when the car arrives? Is there a quick way of seeing if it's a 2007 model, for example (although I seriously doubt it will be) - and does anyone have any advice for that first drive?

It's an EX with iShift, so I'm looking forward to having some fun with the Sat Nav (never had one before) and the voice recognition and Bluetooth phone connection!

There's an easy way to check the year.

Check your VIN number. It's under the windscreen behind the glass.

"" How do you know which model year you have?

- 2006 : SHHFK37606U000258
- 2007 : SHHFK37607U000258 ""

And congratulations for (hopefully) finally getting it!

Mine says 07, but when I checked it I noticed that there was moist behind the glass. Anyone else have that?

Well, the car's here! Lovely Nighthawk Black with Ivory interior, now I have the amazingly-thick manual to read through! One thing that's made me chuckle quite a bit is a lot of the screenshots in the sat-nav manual seem to be of my home town!

Sorry Toonman, sadly that's not me - although you can imagine the level of stick I take from that. Stevo now plays for West Brom, does he not?

Meaning I'm looking forward to seeing them play my Southend United at Roots Hall on New Years Day, so I can stand on the terraces and sing . . .

"TWO STEVEY WATSONS! THERE'S ONLY TWO STEVEY WATSONS!"
