2007 civic information....

Hello from Greece!
Can someone inform me for the changes on the 2007 model civic? I have ordered mine early September and i hope that it will be mine in January...the problem is that i don't know anyone with a civic here (there are only 500 sold here due to the 5-6 delay on the delivery...)so it is difficult for me to collect information. The local dealer told me that it is going to be the same but i know that they will try to improve any bugs that appeared on the early models
So if someone knows anything about the differences or the improvements they are going to do please inform me.
Thanks in advance.

The one thing that has been confirmed is that automatic door locks have been disabled.

I have ordered a sport which may arrive before Christmas. It will be the 2007 model which now includes front fog lights as standard.

Some reseller told me that it will come with the Particules Filter

Good for ecology, but it raises the price of the car up to about 800 € +

Any reason why? Why go to the trouble to disable something like that unless it has a detrimental effect in the locks? Seems a bit weird.

My dealer told me that the only changes between the 2006 and 2007 models here in Denmark is that it no longer comes with a space saver tyre. That has been default on all but the EX(ecutive) models.

That must be besides the small changes like the automatic doorlocks... that doen't work on my Civic anyway and i have "06" in the VIN number.

I know for a fact that the new 3-door has an auto-dimming rear view mirror as standard. Hope this will be standard on the new 2007 EX models. Good bit of kit - REALLY does help as well.

Why us 2006'ers didn't get it as standard on our models, God only knows. They've had it in the Accord for a couple of years now...

It is hidden in the 06 model because of some issues of performance in the event of an accident. It is not meant to be there at all! Hence it's deletion from the firmware in the 07 model.

The 3 door doesnt come with auto dim rear view mirror as standard. Its an optional extra for a crazy amount of £2?? pounds.

Ive just bought a type s.

I dont know what the big fuss is about auto locking doors. I dont think its a important feature and it doesnt take much to lock all the doors. Just one push of a button.

Personally i dont think its worth the money. Its so easy to just flick the switch on the mirror I cant see any justification in spending decent money on it. Its just an expensive gimmick.

Also i wonder if its as sensitive as the auto lights?????

Pottsy, I keep seeing this in threads, but in another it said that Honda CC confirmed that the doors, manually locked, would not unlock in an accident anyway? Other than causing the car to burst into flames, I can't really see what other 'performance' issues there could be.

Confused... yep!

It's upto the individual I guess. I've used it and think it works perfectly in the Accord - certainly not a gimmick! Having said that, I'm with you on this one Type S Bournemouth - I wouldn't pay extra for it!

ALSO, just spoke to a friend whose ordered the new 3-door and she says it comes WITH the auto-dimming rear view mirror and that she DIDN'T pay extra for it...!

I don't care either way, but hoped Honda would've included this in the EX, as well as electrically adjustable seats.

Seems it can be an extra for those haggling for a good deal (mats and now Mirror). As it's not a standard part be sure to get it written down in the spec.

Well all i can say is ive literally just ordered a type s GT. The top spec version and that certainly doesnt come with the auto dim mirror as standard. The one i sat in the show room didnt have it either.

Also the Type S that basegreen had for a day for review which wasnt the the GT version also did not come with it.

In the Honda brochure for the type S it comes under the extras page as well as on the honda Website.
