As I thought you are basing your whole opinion on the Civic with what you read on this forum. How very informed of you!
This is where people who do have problems come to see if they are not alone, it does not give a true view of life. All car forums are full of people with problems with cars All DVD Player forums are full of people who have problems with DVD players The list goes on….. That is the very nature of the beast People who come to this forum are hoping to find some helpful, informed advise from, I would guess people who know the car. You just seem to enjoy telling people they have made a mistake buying one! You seem to take every fault (Yes I know there are some) across the board pile them onto one car and then pretend to own it! Not quite sure what you are hoping to gain from this forum? |

Old river man makes a good point, don't judge a book by its cover. Take it for a drive and see for yourself, its easy to be put off by what you read here which is par for the course on a forum. Its a brand new car, every new car will have some teething problems, especially when they're so unique like the Civic.

Can I just say I bought a new 307 a few years ago & that model was plagued with problems according to the forums. I never had any problems in 4 years & 2 people I work with have never had any problems either. So I agree forums do tend to draw people with problems. Personally I use them to gain information about certain things with my cars.

Changing mine for either CLK200, or 318SE (New Shape)
Dont really like the honda anymore, many problem's Firstly: Paintwork on it is crap, after going in honda, I get like some sort of fades mark in places, which is noticable (Because its a black car) - Rear right door, suddenly stopped working:O, cant get out from the inside. - Rear left floor door trim, that fell off for some reason? (Because its help with crappy plastic clips - The popular windscreen wiper cap, that fall's of all the time when washing the time. - Isulation is a joke, its soo thin(N) - front right door trim is sketchy, feels like its going to fall off... - Fual cap, dosnt open easily? have to pull that lever about 6-10 tims to get it opened:@, anoying when filling up, grr.. especially walking around, then find out its not opened, and it happens again, .. - when opening the front doors, it feel's really light(N) From my other post: 1,Window seal sqeals really loud when opening the driver side windown (They replaces on warrenty, but stratched my door, so they repainting on monday now) 2,Paint chipping easy on the front right panel + bonnet 3,Rear doors dont "Pop" open when you lift the handle (need to pull hard) 4,Rear light covers wobbles (right hand side) 5,Car Grey trim dont look fitted properly(N)some places has bigger gaps. 6,Gear Box, sometime its hard to get it into gear (Dont know why) 7,Sound insulation inside the door's are thin as cardboard(N) 8,Engine is loud? when you go from first to about 3rpm its loud as, same with 2nd gear. 9, Brake dust is rediculously STUPID 10, wheel arch's are massive(N), making 18's look stupidly small still lol. But then again, it might just be mine that has had all these problem's(N)... Gotta book it in for the 3-4th time now, to get problems sorted:@ Personally, I would go for VW, or BMW, or Merc. |

This is a superb site, and gives a very true picture of car-owning life across a wide spectrum of owners. I think you should have more confidence in it! |
