Exclamation What to do ?

Hello,

I've just recieved a phone call from my local dealer. He just recieve a Chambage 2.2 i-ctdi executive (continental finition without satnav...) and at the moment he can't guaranty a delivery of my beloved milano red civic !

So do i swap the color and go for a champagne (Nice to drink but to look ?) instead of the red.

I've never seen in real the champagne color (on picture yes) But how did it look in real life ?

I need your advice quickly because i must give my answer by tomorow.

Thanks and mery christmas to every one !

in my own opinion l-noel, i would wait for the red if that whats your heart is set on, you may regret it, but in the long run you have the car YOU want, and not some pushy salesman is trying to sell you.

Hello I-noel. I'd wait for the colour you really want. He might be trying to get rid of an unpopular colour. You wait for your Red one.

You'll be glad that you did.

Merry Christmas to you too.

Does he not have the champagne coloured car in the showroom?

I would definately ask if you can see it before making your choice

Merry Xmas to you too

We choose Champagne Silver as first choice and after six months would choose it again. If you are a "Red" type person though, you probably won't like it, it's not the most flashy colour. Go to the dealer and have a look, if you don't like it, wait for the Red.
Better still, pretend to lose interest in the deal, the dealer will then do his best to get the Red asap.

dont let the dealer push you into buying a colour you dont really want. My dealer tried that one. Its amazing how quickly there attitude changes when you walk away from the dealer.

Thanks to you,

Good Advice, one of yhe problem is that my dealer is quit far away from me, about 50 Miles, so it's not so easy to visit them. We poor french, we have only 80 Honda dealers who are selling in average 10 000 cars per year (all type o car included).

Champagne was one of the colour we have look at before.

Plus whe have planned to make a long trip for christmas visiting the family (about 1 000 Miles) so doing it in a Civic instead of the ol'fussy 307 is exciting

I will try to go there to see itwith Madame Noel and if it fit our taste.

Thanks again to all.

Be sure to get the spec you want too!
I prefer the Sat Nav equipped version, but it's an expensive cost option.
If you want a red one wait, they should be able to supply it without charging you more for metallic paint

Champagne Silver has exclusivity...... rare compared to NHB/Milano/Alabaster etc!
But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so have a look first before committing.

Not long 'til I get I get my car. I decided on the ES as the toys on the EX didn't seem worth the extra money.

I ordered Champagne Silver without having seen it, as I wanted Cosmic Grey but they had stopped doing it by the time I placed my order. I didn't really fancy any of the other colours enough. (NHB is best when it's clean though, IMO).
I was lucky, and have been very happy with my choice. I think it looks great, and I've yet to see another one. Exclusive or unpopular? I don't care; I'm happy.
BUT, I agree with everyone else who says that if your heart is set on red, then maybe you should hold out for it. Act in haste, repent at leisure, as the cliche goes.
It may help to check out the pictures of heinc's Champagne Civic though, on: Champagne silver civic. I-SHIFT
The colour representation is very accurate.
Whatever you decide, please let us all know how you get on.
Good luck.

depends if you want any new car over your 307 but if you change from red you will maybe disapointed with your colour when you see a red car in the flesh thinking you could have had that. so can you wait for the best of two colours or do you want your new car in the less nice colour ? i would say wait if you can

Hi I-Noel,

Wait for the red - it looks brilliant amd really suits the attitude of the car - and the only other clour that gets close (IMO) is NHB

Thumbs up Christmas Before Christmas

Hello Everybody...

Today will be a nice day for Mrs NOEL and me. We went this morning visit our local dealer and have a look at the Champagne colour civic he just recieved yesterday.

I was not disapointed at all, and because Champagne was one of our choice (mine... red was Madame colour, but i like it too). Madame found it nice and give a touch of class... Less sport but more class.

So i'm in a rush because i will pick my new car this afternoon instead of march ! I must clean my old 307 (removal of 5 years stuff ), go and have a rough negociation for the insurance etc...

Thanks again to everybody, we could have one red civic owner more on this site, but becaus we are too impatient to drive a civic there is a other champagne yet

And happy Christmas to everyone

A good choice. I've seen the Champagne in the flesh and it looked very nice. Also, dare I say, it's a lot less common that Milano Red. Or for that matter the Alabaster Silver that I chose! Enjoy!

Go with what you originally wanted as you will always be driving past a red civic thinking "if i had only just waited a few more weeks"

Its not easy waiting for your new civic but boy is it worth it.

How I agree with you.. Champagne looks classy, and dark colours and Milano red look sporty.
My first choice was Champagne both for class looks and practicality of not showing dust; but it was unavailable so I chose the Royal Navy Blue. But it is a very nice, sporty and elegant colour IMO, so I am happy with this too.. Only that I wash it, the next day it is dusty...
Enjoy your car....

Champagne was my first choice too. But, after seeing how popular that colour civic was round here I opted for my second choice, NHB. Needs constant washing but it sure looks good when it is clean.
Excellent colour choice, so enjoy it.
