Delivery Times

I am seriously considering changing my IS200 in September for a EX i-shift.

I have noted problems though with Civiv delivery dates.

My conundrum is that come late October the Lex will need it's 40K service. This service is going to include 4 tyres (£150 a corner) as I still have the originals from new, full disc pad replacement (£100 a pair) as they have also been on since new, and the service itself (£450 for the 40K).

I will be looking at £1,200(ish) for all that !

Therefore the Civic needs to arrive in September otherwise once I spend £1,200 I would definately keep it for another 2 years.

What are my chances ?

Ask your dealer to see what is coming into stock that is not yet allocated. You may get one sooner than you think if you are prepared to be flexible regarding colour. The EX is fully loaded but you can get a few dealer fix extras (they like that!). I suggest the rear parking sensors, carpets, stainless steel door garnish. You can get leather added by Transform Leather (see separate postings).

Ps: Oh, and mudflaps.

My current list is:

Civic 1.8 EX i-shift
Cosmic Grey
Mudflaps
City Pack
Space Saver
Locking Wheel Nuts
5 Year Servicing Deal

Delivery during September 2007

I will confront a couple of dealers in the spring to see what they say. Taloking of which, is there a dealer review section here ? Not spotted one during my first brief scan.

Think you will find Cosmic is no longer available. That was my first choice but had to have NHB instead (dealer had one coming in and it was unallocated). Mind you, I'm very pleased now as the NHB looks great.

Even if you go into the Honda website you can still choose Cosmic but they told me that it was being stopped after the July '06 production run.

Looking in the 'Gallery' I think NHB, Vivid Blue and Milano Red are my favourites, or Alabaster Silver if you don't want to keep cleaning and polishing!

I think cosmic grey is available but not on all models - we are going to see our dealer on Monday for a test drive and to do the deal -subject to a satisfactory testdrive and have got a copy of the most recent civic brochure from memory it is available on the 1.8 I-Vtec Sport, ES & EX
oh and 1.4 DSI SE models - whether This has been a final run of the Cosmic grey hence only certain models left - Who Knows????

I have a feeling that delivery times are coming down - it really just depends on the extras you order for your car

Delivery hopefully 1st March 2007

Hi Brodick, well my original spec back on 3rd Feb '06 was for a 1.8 i-Shift EX in Cosmic.

In late June I was told it was no longer available as mine wasn't due until September at the earliest, and they were stopping production of this colour after the July production. So I had to choose an alternative. Good news was that they gave me the NHB with no extra colour charge.

Now they may have changed their minds since.

Either way, I'm very happy with my NHB.

Ps: Good luck with your test drive tomorrow.

It's possibly only available on certain models as the website allows its selection.

I think May/June is probably a good idea.
