I would have the sensors everytime.

Once you get used to the beeping and what it means at the various stages you can reverse to within a few cm's.

I think the camera costs twice as much and may not cover the extremities like the sensors do.

The camera is a nice gadget, but it only works in good weather conditions.
If rain/snow on lens you see nothing
If lens frozen you see nothing
If dirt on lens you see nothing....
Get the sensors!

I also recommend the sensors.

If you start up the car and set the gear in revers the camera dont activate before some seconds (The NAV screen startup shows). This is a bit frustrating because you already may have began your driving backwards.

I live in Norway, and this winter have been very wet and dark. The camera then get very dirty/icey/snowy very fast!

Go for the sensors (or both as I did! The camera is quite cool afterall - in good contitions)

Sensors! they cover the corners (and off to the sides) and allow you to look in the right direction when reversing.

I have the sensors and agree with Stef. When you see the price of the camera it will probably decide things for you!

Sensors every time

What good is a camera - when your eyes are on the screen you are not observing your surroundings.

Sensors - you can be looking around to see its still safe and still get the audio warning.

I'm going to be different and suggest the camera! May as well use that big screen, plus it will impress everyone! Price isn't great though!

I currently have neither but am going to go for sensors. However, there are far more cost effective solutions than the Honda ones, including a new type that use an adhesive strip behind the bumper rather than having the little "eyes" (or warts as some describe them).

i have the camera on my car and have no problems with visability and can park it within a few milimeters of whatever i'm reversing upto. i can also see cars coming from the left or right of me when reversing out of parking spaces when they are 3 car lengths away (useful when reversing out from between 2 vans). once you get used to the view of the camera i find it much easier than the sensors (on my wife's car) to use. just remember to clean the camera before you get into the car every morning although i very rarely have issues with dirt direct sunlight replecting off a wet surface can be a problem but you can adjust the brightness of the screen to compensate for it on most occasions

lol... I hope not

I have a little son (soon 4 years) who leaves his toys/bicycles everywhere.
Have used the camera one or two times to detect some of his misplaced toys. The sensor do not react if the obstacle lies near and low behind your car, but camera sees it.

I shall tell you another funny story (in my point of view ): My sister also have a Civic 1.8 Ex - same model as mine. But she did not got either sensors or camera.

Guess what! Her husband managed to crash her Civic while driving backwards - 23 hours after she bought it!

I recommended either camera or sensors before she got it, but she refused!

Not all sensors are equal - mine detect 4" high kerbs - enough to pick up most things (mine are not Honda OEM).

This picture should tell why I prefer both sensors and camera.

The lack of wiper at the rear window and weak warm threads results in ice and snow laying on the rear windows when driving. It's sometimes impossible to get a clear view when driving backwards.

I have not actually seen that camera fitted to a Civic as yet.

Would they be secure enough to avoid them getting into the hands of the "Cor, I'll nick that" brigade?

I'm not to keen on the idea of looking forward to the display when reversing, could be dodgy.

My rev. bleepers seem to cope with all conditions so far.
