nighthawk not pearl??

OK. the colours fall into this group. Was there ever black Civic 2006, that was not metallic? I almost bought one today, it was a little bit dirty and there was dark outside, but it seemed to me, that it was black not metallic. Also in warranty book was written: nighthawk (no magic word- pearl). Is it possible? Or if it's nighthawk it must be metallic?

Nighthawk Black is metallic. Cosmic Grey is an example of a pearl colour.

Only Milano Red is non-metallic/pearl.

sorry- just to be precise. Nighthawk is pearl!! this is the full name: nighthawk pearl, not nighthawk metallic. The point was not about word but about colour itself. Is there a black color, non metallic (or not pearl) , available for civic 2006 ?

No, szyba. There is no non-pearlescent black available.

def not metalic i would also have to ask the question about how pearlescent it is. It seems to be in name only. I had a pearlescent green audi, that subtely changed colour from grey to bronze. To me the nighthawk looks straight black. Ill have another look when the sun comes out

That colour nighthawk that was written in a warranty book was it a hand-writing? If so I would not worry. In my warranty book it is written only Galaxy as a description of colour but I know that it is Galaxy grey metallic.

@4gotten: yes - this is handwriting in the book. So I don't worry. This is just that the colour itself is not pearlscent as lowfer pointed out.
No nie jest kurcze perlowy z zadnej strony ))

Sorry, that's out of the Type S brochure and Champagne Silver isn't an option unfortunately.

an update on my nighthawk black. I posted earlier saying that i hadn't seen the pearl effect on my car. Well now i have. Washed the car yesterday came out this morning the sun glinting on my shiny body work, walked passed and hey presto, blue flakes in the paint. Very subtle and had to get the angle just right but def there, i was quite taken a back but though it looked lusciuos.

anybody else managed to see the same?
