Is this not buried somewhere in the forum already? I thought there was some form of checklist? If not could be a good idea for the wiki!

I may have read that somewhere else! I'll stick something in the wiki and see if people can help out.

The original list was here:
http://www.civinfo.com/forum/showthr...=1523#post1523

And I've copied it into the wiki, so all can edit it. Hope this helps.

I sent a copy of the list to me dealer and hinted that I expected if any of these issues were apparent that it would be taken care of at the PDI
He came back to me saying that there had been problems with '06 build
cars but no so with the '07 build and assured me the PDI would be to their usual High Standards

As I have said before I have a lot of confidence in my dealer and any issues we have had in the past have been dealt with quickly and efficiently
They know not to cross me

Nothing different than from picking up any new car !

You will get your

V5 Document
Owners Handbook, Service Manual
Radio code, and AA details in a wallet/folder

Check the car over on arrival at the dealership
make sure no marks on the paint or wheels etc

Same thing inside check the dash for marks and the
seats, lift the boot and your can of foam should be in there
if you have ordered extras for the car make sure they are all in
or on the car.

Lastly your dealer will go over the controls with you

Simple

You mention the V5 - I've always received that some time later direct from the DVLA.

Mine actually turned up in the post before I picked the car up.
That came as a surprise.

the reason i posted this is because when i was picking my clio 182 up dealers were not giving people the tyre foam, mats (that came std) and luggage nets, also it had 3 years breakdown but did not include punchers, homestart but you could upgrade the policy for £50 for the 3 years but the dealers did not tell you this.

Hi Mar,

You a 182 drive , I'm a 172 drive really thinking of getting a Civic.

Your feedback would be great , reckon I'm going to miss that hardcore driving expereience but you can't have everything.

Hi sw1
for me i need a bigger car and the civic was the best looking and that is why i went for it.
i have thought about what you have said about misssing the hardcore driving experiance and i probably will when out on the twisty b roads but for 90% of the time i feel the civic will be better with all that torque (maybe i am getting lazy and don't want to keep changing down a gear lol)
also look at it like this you will not get another car that handles like the clio so don't compare the two.
i hope i will be able to tell you more in 33days and 16hours but i am not counting
