I think I might ask them to put some parking sensors on it too so that when I collect it on the Saturday it's all ready to go!

I can't believe how many people seem to be more keen on crashing into my car now that it's committed to a part exchange
Hi Andrew.

Firstly, welcome to the forum. I spend way too much time here!

I too am waiting for my 2.2 Sport which will, apparently, be delivered w/e 4th March. Fingers crossed.

I certainly agree that since I agreed my p/ex value on my car, everyone seems to be driving much worse! Even within the first 10 mins of leaving the forecourt!! Rest assured tho it does improve.

I look forward to one of us starting a thread at the beginning of March announcing our joy!

Thanks Lexie!

Not long now... if they are on time!

If I can tear myself away from it for a few mins, I'll be posting up some pics hopefully at some point!!

I had a friends that got a good PX on an MX5 for a Golf GTI, come the day of the swap on the way to pick up the Golf went into Sainsburys and an out of control trolly went into the passenger door..............
They just parked in next to a hedge! and prayed! The salesman had already given it a lookover when they struck the deal!

I am just working up to taking the jump into Honda land...
My local dealer has a pre-registered (56) EX 1.8 on his forecourt with 10 miiles on the clock and is asking only £15800, which is £300 less than I would be paying for an ES on a well known website.

Sounds like a good deal to me - what do you guys think?
PS - Galaxy Grey it is, the colour I'd be going for anyway

Sweet, that would be a nice added bonus!

Just need to coax some free mats (or atleast 1/2 price) out of my dealer's tight clutch now and it will be all good!

The '07 Sports model also comes with a leather steering wheel and front fogs as standard. 3 weeks to go... Wohoo!!

Just did it too

After not too much ponderation, I have now put down a deposit on an 1.8 Vtec EX. Unfortunately the galaxy grey one had sold on Saturday, so I got stuck with Alabaster Silver, which is bearable.

I think I got a semi decent deal as well - slightly over book on part ex, 15700 and free Harmon/Karman Drive and Play + free install before I pick up the car ... this Saturday.

First Honda - I hope it's all it's cracked up to be!

nice one!

Any chance you can get them to take some pics during the HK install so we can add it as a How To?

Not really - sorry. The kit gets fitted by some gang outside the dealers, and that was due to be done yesterday, so I cannot provide pictures for the How To. I will take pictures of the end product once I have the car and hope that it'll be this weekend as promised.

I still haven't received the paperwork, so slightly dubious about getting the 7 day free insurance done via Honda in time, because I need the order form for it...

the request was a bit tongue in cheek mate - not to worry

there's a few people on here thinking about that install, so it would be good if we could find out exactly what parts they end up using

Still no paperwork and my salesman did not return my calls today - always was with customers.

Now, I tend to be quite stoic, but with the order form not here yet I doubt I will be able to get the car on Saturday... I'll badger him tomorrow, I guess. 3 interviews to do, so I will be in an "inquisitive" mood when I swing by their showroom after work!
