Tried both suggestions, them posting them out (they said that they didn't have one for that set A wee white lie I think) and my local dealer said that they only came as part of the set of mats and that I would have to buy a full set (why!?)
Why do Honda make things so difficult!?

I had the same problem with the brackets (or lack of it) when I bought my UFO, but a courtesy call from Honda's customer survey people soon fixed that. I quickly received an apologetic phone call from the sales rep and brackets in the post within the week.

Frustrated with mats

Just picked up my 1.8 Sport yesterday, the dealer included some 'mats' due to a mix up with dates, but they clearly did not fit and were dangerous!
I called the dealer to complain and was told they would knock £10 of the Honda mats, rubbish! I pushed it a little harder and they are now supplying the Honda mats.

I ordered a brand new CTR GT last week, and I'm getting the red mats for free as part of the deal, I did nt even need to haggle. I'm also getting free 3 yrs AA cover, free MOT for life, locking wheel nuts and a full tank of fuel. I got the space saver thrown in for free after alittle haggling!

I was one of the first ones over here to buy the Civic, and there weren't any mats available by then. So I bought a rubber mat set for the previous Civic and cut out the sections where the gas pedal and the footrest are fixed. And it did fit in so well, no sliding or so to behind the pedals. No anchoring, unbelievably fine... The only defect is visual, the breaking of the outline border form, which I don't care about.. I don't see it anyway when I drive the car..
I prefer rubber to fabric, because it is always easier to dry it when it gets wet. The fabrics get soaked with water when you get in in wet weather and that means a deposit of humidity inside...

Mats

I handed my 'dealer labeled' mats back today as they didn't fit, and made them hand back a set of Honda one free of charge. Nice one!

I previously posted that I agreed a price of £40 for the mats, when I picked up the car last Saturday, from the Dealership.
Went in and collected them today and paid £35.
If you don't ask, you don't get.
Picking me spare wheel up in about a week for £80.
They can have my tyre repair kit back, if they knock a further £35 off the wheel.

A slightly impolite post and its inevitable response deleted.
