Angry Sick Of Waiting

Hi all,

Just have to vent my spleen!!

Rang my delaer up to find out out if he had at least been given a provisional delivery date for me car - NO!! He hasn't the faintest idea when it will come in!! I only ordered it on or around the 14th November last year as well so as you appreciate I'm now getting a tad frustrated.

This is one major downside of living in Ireland!!!

Its like being a kid waiting for Christmas Day only not knowing when that day will be!!

Thanks for listening.

In France it's the same pain to have a Civic. It was same thing for me, I Have ordered a Milano Red 2.2 I-CTDI Executive (without satnav and leather but with panoramic roof). So when the dealer told me that he just recieved a pre-ordered Civic same spec but Champagne I go for it. When he propose this deal to me he was not able to promise the car before march/April.

Maybe the dealer as a similar deal for you...

He did mention an i-shift was due in, but I told him I would not be interested.

He reckoned he had rang around the 3 dealers in the county to see if anyone would do a swap over for a same spec car as I ordered. No luck though - he reckoned everyone was in the same boat!

I know.....but it is getting hard to remain so patient.

At least something good will happen when the waiting finally end!

I live in Cork, Ireland. I orderd a 1.8 SE-Executive NHB with Leather, 17" STORMS, Front Fogs, Door Sills and reversing Sensors.

Originally the dealer dude when taking my deposit told me the exact car as above (before dealer fits) was booked for me and would be due in March.

Its just at times like this I regret moving here from NW London as if you beleive what you are told, the dealers here are treated as second class citizens and just seem get given a random assortment of cars from Honda to divvy up amongst themselves to hopefully match up what orders they may have!!!

I was thinking of threatening to pull out of the deal to buy a Golf/Audi just to see if that stirs up a positve reaction.

Just have to take up meditation and calm down and wait I guess!

Just tracked down the email address of the Honda distributor in Ireland and fired off an email. Fingers crossed they may be able to provide some information and give a at least a rough idea of how long I need to wait instead of the dealers manyana attitude.

I don't know how it is working in Ireland, but my dealer has placed order of his own at the name of his employes, so he can shorten the delivery date for some custommers if they don't want special colors or spec. That's why I have been delivered in 9 Weeks instead of 20. He take some risk ordering cars like that, but he has happier custommers
