thinkin about a civic........................advise please
Hi all.................im new here so hello and nice site.
Im thinking about a change, currently driving a bmw 318ISE x plate with 50 odd on the clock.Fancy goin back to a hatchback and after reading a few reviews i went and had a look at a couple.I was well impressed with them, the cabin is very sexy lol i wanted to know was firstly how do you guys find the boot for size........i know it looks a good size .Im asking because the dog would have 2 go in( he's a ridgeback there about the size of a german shepard)like i say they do look a good size. Also i went to look at the sport but the ES caught my eye but never thought id like a glass roof but i did............how do u guys find it and whats the main diff between the too? also for the first time i find myself looking at a diesel could not belive how refined it sounded.......what kind of mpg could i expect fr round the doors driving. And lastly ...........i think they where on 06 plates the sport and the ES the sport was up for £14999 and the ES for £15500 what do u recon............id want some off that basicly his opening offer was a very poor £5000 for mine id want nearer £6000 and id want him to come down on the price of what he had the civics up for..............advice please. cheers ps.......sorry theres a fair bit there |

Shakie, hi. You need to do a bit of reading and searching here!
The boot is enormous, and you could consider putting the dog where the rear passengers would go but with the "Magic" seats up. The diesel is fast and smooth, but a bit more expensive to buy and service. Expect 47 mpg or so. |

Hi Shakie1973
I thought of buying a 1 year old Civic. Then I started reading this site and realised that there were problems with the early ones. So I decided against it. You might be able to negotiate a good discount on a new one for the same price as a 06 plate. £1000 off is possible if you haggle hard. You probably better off selling your BMW privately. |

Hi Shakie1973 the boot is quite large & has a good sized opening. Had my 1.8 SE since October & it still puts a smile on my face when I drive it. My local Honda dealer in Maidstone has 3 06 plate models, 1.8 sport £12,995, 1.8 sport £13,295, 1.8 ES £14,995 not diesels I know but still a good price.
