my dealer put their big rectangular sticker on the back window, decreasing further the rearward visability. A hot cloth to soften the adhesive and off the offending sticker came. Visibility improved 100%.

I always request NO stickers, it's not just the advertising - my biggest gripe is it annoys me seeing those huge rectangles in my rear view mirror - I guess it must be so bad having one on the rear of the Civic!

Rowes Honda in Plymouth certainly listen. The salesman remembered that I had requested not to have them on my previous civic and they were not there when I picked up this one.

I have never asked a dealer not to out their sticker on.
I always take it off the car after a day or so without any problems |

I changed my tax disc holder.
Removed the stealers sticker from the rear screen Even changed the plates so they don't give out their name .......but the stealer was good, I just don't like driving a billboard! Ruislip have stopped putting stickers in the back window as most peeps didn't want them or took them straight off.
They did ask if it was OK to put their name on the number plates - which is fine by me. |

We've been to 2 different dealers. The first has a sticker very similar to the Civinfo forum sticker. The second has a sticky in the middle of the back window, looks dreadful.
We've previously bought our cars from Arnold Clark and I've always taken their stickers off, and have made no secret of the fact that I was disgusted that they considered sticking one on in the first place! Not going back to them this time. Don't mind dealer name on the numberplate though. |

Actually it's the law that you have to have at least the post code of the number plate supplier on the plate!
Halfords do theirs in white so it dosen't really notice! "I'm getting old. I seem to spend more time crossing off names than adding them in my adress book!" Charles H. |

plate makers have to registered with the dvla (i think) for the plate to be legal,
i presume that they have to pay to register, and the postcode and name is just a check quick for the police/MOT etc |

The law states that the plates (if fitted after 2001) mus be to BS AU 145d. And this standard states that the postcode of the number plate maker must be on the plate.

Got a sticker in my 04 Civic Sport, but not one on this one. I have seen some around with dealer stickers on, they look terrible!
I never tried getting one off before, I would be too worried about damaging the filaments of the rear screen heaters. |
