Colour coded bumpers !!
Hi can anyone tell me if they have had done or had a quote on colour coding the bumpers of their car... i am awaiting my type s in black with 18" Blades and lower front spoiler. I have asked my local Honda dealer for a quote and they are getting back to me in a few days. Local paint shop wont quote unless i have the veh there for them to look at.
Just need an idea so i dont get ripped off....would prefer the dealer to do it so i can pick it up already to go and not have to then lose it for a few days in a paint shop Any ideas? |

Hi Mouse
If this was what you were thinking of The best looking Vivid Blue Type-S in my street It cost me just over £500 for the rear and front bumper, side skirts and wheel arch trims. My dealer quoted £600 for the job |

No problems so far.
I was told that there is 2 different ways of painting the trim. One was to just primer then paint the plastic. This left a slightly matt finish that had the pattern of the plastic showing. The second was to primer, then sand it down, which left a smooth surface to paint. This looks much better on the car but was more expensive, but this is what I went for. |

Hi, got a dealer quote for mine of £800+vat they dont even do it themselves, they contract it out locally ! so I went to my local body shop (who I have used in the past, so I know the are good) and he quoted £300 all in --guess who gets the job? try aking friends for recomendations for paint shops.
Ill post photos when I get mine. |
