Dealers Buying dealer fit options

Have spoken to local Honda dealer today who tells me that Honda options such as rear parking sensors, ambient blue lighting are not factory fits, they are done by the dealer . . . in which case ( refering to recent threads on here about cost of a b lighting ) why can't we buy this kit from Honda dealers and fit it ourselves? I'm assuming there is loom/switch gear for the footwell lighting already in the car?
Anybody know more about this?

Hi John,

You can buy parking sensors, blue ambient lighting, etc. online from Holdcroft Honda, Stoke-on-Trent. Here's the link to their website

Don't know how you go about fitting them yourself but i'm sure someone on here will know how.

Have a butchers in the 'how-to' section, plenty of advice and walk-through guides in there.
