Non-delivery - FUMING !!!
So much for Honda Care !!! my dealer - Lings Honda, Lowestoft have just informed me that my car (deposit paid, reg cert on my desk!!) will not now be here as planned either for yesterday or today!!!! Lings gave me a date and up to now I thought the car was with them, they don't know where it is and Honda can't tell them either ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
What the Hell is going on with Honda UK?? Are we being conned by both Honda and the Dealers, who bul....t us into paying a deposit with a date (subject to 2 days either side)(the original date was moved due to Bank Hol) just so Honda can get a build programme and dealers their sales targets? - when in fact we the customer are just a pawn in their game and we count for nothing?? ALSO - Have had a reply from Honda via email re the door drainage grommetts - they say they do not discuss technical matters, thats for the dealers to resolve!! my 2 local dealers didn't even know the new Civic had these grommetts and reckon they will be a rust trap. One dealer had a brand new Accord in showroom and it did not have these grommetts, but next to it was a 4x4 with them fitted? dealer didn't know of these either. Sending them a letter, copy for Trading Standards - as I can see this item being a problem - rust etc in time. More letters to Honda Japan - wheres that name/address on this site? john07 F FUMING!! (excuse my stutter . . . .) |

In my short experience with Honda dealers (salesmen) they do not seem to know an awful lot about the finer detail.
Whether this is intended, out of experience, or just lack of product knowledge I don't know. |

Never had any such issue in 9 years and no issue with our new car either Our car was delayed by one day ( due to DVLA and private reg.) and we were only told the night before but I knew that the car was at the dealers I don't think it will be Honda UK's fault - get the dealer sorted I also think you are going over the top with Sorry John regards to the gromit issue especially as you do not have your car yet!!! It's not strictly Honda's fault, my grudge would be with the dealer, who is also responsible for fixing any faults you experience.

End of year target figures an all that, once that deposit is paid it will go towards their sales. My friend bought a brand new Focus a few years back and when she went to pay the deposit they refused her card saying it had to be cash, she came out to me in the car and said she didn't know what to do. I went in and suggested that the reason they wanted cash was to meet their end of month sales figures, the card would have taken longer for payment to go through, they admitted it, I told them take the card or lose the sale, they took the card payment but were not happy |
