OK everyone here we go

The car is DEFINATELY landing at the garage on Tuesday the 8th!
The plate transfer is being done today!
They're chucking in a spare wheel to sweeten me up but weren't prepared to do anymore even after promising to do accessories at cost the day before apparently that is about £50 off the side/bumper protectors (the city pack ones) which still means around £550 that I dont want to give to them I'd rather get them for my birthday as planned (but get them locally).

So in all the car should be in my possession on (fanfare) *duh duh duh* either Wednesday 9th or Thursday 10th.

So I'm ready to be happy again and hopefully my boyfriend will still be speaking to me after the mood I've been in all week!

Great news Obo. Remember you were promised a spare wheel as a sweetener for the delay. And don't forget your checklist from this forum when you are picking up the spaceship. I know you will be so excited, but take deep breaths and do go through the checklist. I was two hours with the paperwork and formalities (paying by switch took at least fifteen minutes cos I'd forgotten to alert my bankers - duh...) before getting my hands on my car. Be sure to let us all know about your car and your emotions. Leave nothing out, since this has been a saga, and I'm sure we all want to read about the happy ending.

At least with your experence you can expect another delay, and that the excitement will last a little longer.

Just imagine, I saw the Civic released at the Geneva show in 2005.

I went to my stealer and was the first one to order one soon afterwards.

Well not quite order, but put on the 'I'm very interested' list.

In Jan 2006 I was offered a drive and was stunned by the motor.

Unfortunatley as I wanted i-Shift no order could again be taken.

I persevered, got my order in and got one of the probably first i-Shifts on the street.

That's about 14 months of waiting!

That's given me the longest smile in history!

Err... my post was a question to Obo, hence the question mark at the end of it. Did you read it as a statement that it had arrived at the dealer?

Not yet I'm gonna leave it until 4:30 and ring them to find out. I have a list of angry replies with unbelievable & incompetence topping the list of words if it's not there, and they havent bothered to let me know!

Something tells me I'm not gonna get it this week either not that Im being negative about it you understand. My brother is on stand-by to come with me to pick it up if my bf cant make it.

Oh and Romantic I have it in writing that I will be getting the spare wheel so that shouldnt be an issue!

for Crying Out Loud

I had to ring Bristol Honda AGAIN and yes the car is there but the plate transfer is not gonna be complete until 16th - I took up all the paperwork well in advance as I was fully aware how long the DVLA take to do transfers. I rang the DVLA and they have no record of the paperwork going in which could mean they havent yet taken it in or it could mean they took it Friday and it hasnt been entered into the system.

I'm getting more and more pissed off with this absolute shambles of a company. The way I have been treated over this is disgusting no-one gives a **** about it and they have told me so many lies I dont know what the truth is anymore.

I REALLY WISH I'D GONE FOR ANOTHER FOCUS NOW I'M SICK OF THE WHOLE SITUATION!

If one more person there says to me "I'll keep you informed" I'm gonna scream they are not keeping me informed and are ****ing useless!

Oh for f***ing, c***ing, p***ing, crapping, s***ing sake!!!

Believe me you will be so chuffed when you have your Civ - it is your dealer that is being a c***. Report them to HUK & anybody else you can think of. They are really f***ing useless beyond the most f***ing useless crappy thing ever.

Something I don't understand tho - why can't you drive the car on new plates until your plate gets transferred? Also I am pretty sure somebody on Civinfo mentioned too about getting it done while you wait at the DVLA.

They owe you a loan car at the very least.

W*nkers.

Couldn't have put it better myself.
Sorry to hear your dealers are such idiots, definitely push for a courtesy car until yours is sorted, this is getting beyond a joke...

Wow - What a coincidence! I was in Cribbs Hoda Dealer today. My Mrs wants a new CRV - And she is paying cash for it.

We asked the salesman for a price as we are paying in cash - He said he would only give us a price if we agreed to buy there and then!

How crap is that!

I walked out.

They have lost the sales of a new CRV and a Civic.

Apparently now the transfer has been taken in by the DVLA they cant register it in an 07 plate so I will have to wait! They are adament it went in on the 4th (I have been told so many lies I dont know what day it went it ... dont care anymore if I'm honest). The salesman didnt even know I was promised by the sales manager I would have it tomorrow or Thursday just about sums it up really zero communication.

Everytime we have tried to speak to the manager of both Bristol branches we get the sales manager ring back or get put through to him, makes me wonder if the manager knows anything about it and the sales team are intercepting it before it gets that far. He is definately ringing me tomorrow (although I reckon I'll get the 2nd in command again).

I've never ever dealt with such a shambolic incompetent company in my life, if I treated my customers like this they'd probably sue me!

I will see what I get out of this bloke tomorrow and then go higher if I have to, I completely understand that the DVLA take this long (I told them that and posted on here about it), but it's once again the fact that I havent been told anything about MY car, and no-one seems to know what anyone else is saying.

Roger, you've had a lucky escape stay away from Bristol Honda they're absolute crap!
