Thumbs up Servicing

Local dealers dont seem to keen to make all buyers aware of the servicing options available on all new Hondas, theres the Budget Plan Servicing which means you can pay for you servicing monthly but best of all for petrol cars you can pay £500 for 5 Years servicing which is a great deal!! you will pay more than that for 3 years even if you sell the car before the 5 years its an 'extra' to sell with the car as it can be used at a Honda dealer, BARGIN!!

Don't think that option is on the diesel tho'.

Certainly good for the petrol.

I got mine.

I knew there was something special about the 1.8!!!

I've paid my £500 now, so it seems as tho' as all my future services will appear to be free!

I would think *not* as they are consumable and wear depends on driving style and milage.

Service normally covers patrs that the manufacturer specifies should be changed at Service milage intervals

From my 'Happiness' schedule:

12,500: engine oil, oil filter, sump washer

25,000: engine oil, oil filter, sump washer, filter pollen.

37,500:engine oil, oil filter, sump washer

50,000:engine oil, oil filter, sump washer, filter pollen

62,500:engine oil, oil filter, sump washer

Sorry, it don't mention pads and the like.

Thanks, that puts a final answer to the question.

I searched the forums and saw several different answers with some saying yes to the breaks but no to tyres and others saying what you both have!

Please correct me if I'm wrong (please do it quick because I need to collect my car and decide by next wednesday) but this is nto a lot that is covered. Does it really cost £100 per service for old and an oil filter and a sump washer? I mean, how much of a saving is this really over paying for it as and when you service the car

I think that the regular price for the first service is around £138.

Now you know why they are called 'stealers'!

As I've got the Happiness pack I fortunately won't find out!

When I picked my car up just over a week ago, the salesman said that the 5 year fixed price servicing was now available on the diesel, at a cost of £850.

He showed me the letter from honda, which said it was only available on cars registered from 1st May onwards.

Nice to see different deals for servicing. Here in Finland we have slightly different system. For example I have 3 year deal, cost is €17(£9)/month, max. 15 000kms/year (I don't drive much). The deal covers everything (parts, fluids, labour) under normal service schedule and other maintenance plus normal wearing like wiper blades etc.

That does not include the 'weary out' bits like brakes or wipers an' things.

Same with the Happiness thingy as well.

See, I had the opportunity of mentioning the **** ***** but I managed to control myself.
