Side Body Protectors

Guys - are the side body protectors colour coded worth getting? I know with a lot of cars now having "odd" shaped doors side body protectors can do almost no good at avoiding the dents on some cars - anyone got any opinions on this before I spend £300 on the dealer?

I've got the full city pack on my CTR. I think they are worth getting, saves you worring about getting some those little dings. Like you say all cars have different shaped doors.
Go for it, they make the car look mean especially front on IMO

Probably worth having, but at £300 do you really need them?

recently had a dint in my car and it was on the crease at the top of the door , I doubt side protectors would have prevented that with them being lower down.

Instead of spending £300 on tacky side protectors, how about parking a little bit further away?

That doesn't always work! I have dings on three doors the first one happened when the car was only three weeks old. I was parked away from all other cars but when I got back to the car a Discovery was parked really close. When I got home I notice a ding on the back door! The other dings happened at work, and as I am one of the first people in the carpark, I don't have much choice about who parks next to me. I regret not buying the protectors.

Parking - damn spaces

Would love to be able to park in clear space but sadly not going to happen - looks like I will have to either park in a secure government parking compound - and there a bit stingy on space - or if thats full on the streets nearby - not good either way!
Although there £300 seems like at £40 a dent (and if paintwork or more needs doing god alone knows the cost) they would be worth it - dont want dents in my lovely space ship

Hi,
If buying them gives you peace of mind,go for it.
I have had my car for over a year and still watch where I park it.

I'm the same as you - always careful where I park, in an end of row space if possible, but you can never guarantee that you won't come back to your car and find another car parked virtually on top of it.
The opinion I had was that having the protectors wasn't going to protect against every eventuality, but might help on the odd occasion. I think they are quite unobtrusive, and will be even less noticeable in Deep Bronze.

There's pictures of mine in this thread:-

Don't forget our friendly Civinfo dealers Holdcroft Honda and John Pease.
The protectors come with fitting instructions and are easy to fit.
They saved me a few quid on the £300 price my dealer quoted

Agreed. I have them on my NHB, they make the car look a bit wider and the front sides more menacing. I find the car kinda naked without them.

Hmm, might have to buy some of them then. Surprised they aren't fixed on more strongly though!

That's your best bet.

The demo at my stealers had then stuck on incorrectly, looked a mess.

Even the dealers can muck it up, so bung em on yourself.

But don't tell everyone that they stuck on by pads.

They'll be guys in the car parks nicking the bits off other Civics to make it even cheaper!
