I have picked up my car the day before yesterday, and it is really awesome, one can say that i truly love this car, that's why i have the following question
Why are there no tinted glasses for the Civic 5 doors. I asked my dealer where i picked him up, and they said they could arrange it for me for about 300 to 400 Euros. But when i looked at the difference between a CR-V with tinted glass from factory and the one done by the dealer i let it pass, because the difference is huge. Searching the internet i found sunblinds for the Civic 5 doors. Can anyone tell me if this is somewhat of an alternative. So please let me know if it is any good, perhaps with some pictures accompaining this. I'll try to upload some pics shortly **** Johnny Civic 1.8 Sport Galaxy Grey with upgrade pack, gear knob, storm wheels etc |

I attended a show over the weekend. There is a company producing something called window sox - http://www.windowsox.co.uk/?gclid=CKmt7-3pl4wCFQ3mlAodpAVC2g - might be of interest, although the civic has been produced as yet (due later this year).
These are ideal for children etc for the rear of the car, that said you may not be intending the tints for that purpose, in which case this post is a load of cr&p and I apologies...! |

Hi Johnny,
I have got the blinds from honda and I am quite happy with them. They do give the impression that the windows are tinted (if you don't get too close of course) and they do quite a nice job of keeping the bright sunlight away from our baby girl. Mounting them is very easy on the back door windows (three little stick on clips on each side), takes a little fiddling on the boot lid, but also no problem. They cover the windows really good, almost no light gets through at the edges. One downside is that the one on the boot lid comes in two parts that join right down the middle of the window, see pic below. Takes a little getting used to but I don't mind it. The price is € 142,60 in Germany, not cheap for sunblinds but cheaper than tinting and you can remove them whenever you like. They are available for the 3 and 5 door models, although the honda page only lists them for the 3 door. |

Hi Lo/Rez
Thanks for the pictures and the explenation. I to have to say that it looks very good. And yes it is mainly for the children. I think that i'am convinced that this is the best option, although it isn't cheap. I expect the price to be likewise in Holland so i'll contact the dealer for further info. **** a bunch Johnny 1.8 i-VTEC Sport - Galaxy Grey - just 17 inch storms - Upgrade Pack- and others |

They don't look very transparent from those pics. Can you still see outta the back ok? "To you, I'm just an atheist, to God I'm the opposition!" Charles H. |

Yes, no problem with the view, just a little darker than normal. Even at night you can see enough through them. Just the seam in the middle takes a little getting used to, but also no prob.
