No Yellow CTR.... but then there's always Red!

Hi guys,

I spoke to my dealership today and they said they had bad news.
Apparently South Africans aren't getting yellow CTR's. (aaaaaah)
I should have known it was too good to be true.
My apologies for misleading anyone here.

But Iv'e changed my order for a milano red one. (yaaaaaay)
Now I have to wait another week for it. (aaaaaah)

Just found a local review which confirms it.

By the way, if you're dying to spec your Type R in that killer yellow shade, think again. In South Africa, you have the choice of Milano Red and Nighthawk Black for the exterior. And that's it, but it's not as though you'll find anyone complaining since it looks super sexy in both these colours.
I really feel stupid now for even thinking I could get a yellow or white one.

Anyway, with only Red and Black as colour choices, I find my decision to go for the red was very heavily weighted on the fact that black cars in Africa get very hot, very quickly. I also feel that red is a nice sporty colour.

BTW, does anyone know what R () the essential extras on a Type R?

It's not only SA's that don't get yellow. Nobody does.

But there'a a big chance you are the very very first one getting a CTR on the african continent. Unless they guy leaving the dealer when you got in beat you to it.

THX1138, lol.
I don't know about 1st, but I will be getting 1 off the very 1st shipment from the UK.
For me, there is only a week or two to go. I was told it would be here in just over a week, but I'm taking that with a large pinch of salt so I won't be disappointed. Still can't wait!

czechplastik, yeah, I know, and you can now say 'I told you so'.
No, really.

I agree with you on the Red, it's gonna look amazing.

Hi All,

Got my "TYPE R" number plates today even though my car hasn't arrived yet, will post a picture asap. Very cool plates!

Interestingly, a local car mag rated the CTR as South Africa's new benchmark in the hot-hatch segment. Seems like I made a great choice.

PS: Does anyone know where to find videos of the new type-R?
(Besides the obvious 'You Tube', that is. Thanks)

Cheers
