Servicing Can anyone recommend a Honda dealer in Essex for 1st service

Hi,

Our Civic is due it's first service soon so I wondered if anyone can recommend a Honda main dealer in the Essex area (we managed to get the first three years servicing free). I know from bitter experience that finding a good main dealer to intrust your car with is a nightmare!

Hi Rod,

I would suggest Glyn Hopkin Colchester. They've always been great with me.

I've heard good things about GH Chelmsford too.

Whereabouts are you?

+11000000 on Glyn Hopkin Colchester, James is the man with a plan on the service desk. He is back on Monday.

They offer excellent customer service and bend backwards for you.

I got a car from GH Chelmsford once, they lied to me about number of previous owners, I wont return. I can't comment on there after sales service.

my service is due in a couple of months? is it worth taking it to romford honda or tdi south?

Toss a coin.
IMHO... romford as they have the diagnostic gear to plug in the ECU and run any updates that need doing.
TDI will probably be cheaper... seeign TDI in the service schedule would be good enough for most if not all future buyers.
TDI cant do MOT testing either (smoke test).

Its a tooling issue rather than a competency or price one.

Honda are more likely to support borderline warranty claims if the vehicle is regularly serviced by Honda.

thanks relic, romford it is then, i tend to get servicing and MOT done in one go so i dont have to worry about it.
