Delivery payment

Hi Forum,
This maybe sound a crazy question. I bought a new civic s type gt from honda dealership show room. I noticed on my sales invoice that a vehicle delivery cost was included for a sum of £599.99. Would this payment be correct?

I believe so, its all part of the on the road price that you pay. It's probably unusual to have it itemised on the bill however. It wasn't on mine, maybe I'm the odd one out?

That would be the cost of transporting it from Swindon to your dealer and associated costs. Madas is right, normally it's not itemised but part of the OTR price.

As long as you have paid the agreed price then OK, clearly £599.99 is an invented price.

It's on my order form as £510 + VAT which is £599 inc

I've just realised I've never had an invoice... just a receipt for the payment ???? Phonecall to the dealer tomorrow as even the order form was sent to me by fax after I asked for it! Bloody crap!

covers delivery, number plates, PDI (I think), tax disc etc etc.

but yes, built into the OTR price, so as long as you haven't been charged £600 more than you expected, not a worry

Hi All,
Cheers on the feedback. On my invoice it has been breakdown in the following :-

Delivery = £599.99
tax = £135
VRD = £38
Number plates = £0
