How can that be? Its a much lower group
Maybe after all your shenanigans the insurance company aren't so willing to give you good quotes (even though the collisions weren't your fault).

I'm changinng from a grp 3 car (1.2 petrol) to an EX2.2 (grp 11) hopefully by Saturday!
Looking at differences my current car is nearly 4 and the EX will be brand new but my insurance is currently 313 per year and for civic is £390. so not a huge difference on the chagne in group and value.

Well I guess thats a good point Isuhe, I went from a group 4 (1.4 petrol) to a 2.2 EX also and jumped £300, but then I am only 22 so I guess thats pretty reasonable.

Doubtful, only one thing went to insurance and seeing as nothing has gone against me yet I didnt mention it for the quotes and seeing as I haven't made a claim in over 15 years it has nothing to do with it!

Topcat........ We had a Jazz SE Sport a few years ago, was a nice car...... my wife now sorry we got rid of it. We would certainly recommend one, had no problems whatsoever with the car. As for China, they will still manufacture the Jazz in Japan as well.
You would be surprised the amount of high tech parts being manufactured in China (Aerospace in particular).

I traded in a Jazz 1.2 when I picked up my new civic in january last year.
It was a wonderful little car, cheap to run and no problems whatsoever.
I'd trade in my civic for a Jazz again if Honda brings the 1.5VTEC from the Asian markets to Europe.

Jazz is a cracking small car. I only swapped for a Civic because I wanted a spaceship

I would definitely say that for an about-town runaround car the Jazz is a good choice, smoother suspension than the Civic, easier top park, feels lighter, better mpg, etc. I think I'd look at the Yaris as well.

So one year after buying your brand new car it is nearly in a sellable condition, well done TC.

lol - yes in another few weeks it will look perfect again (I hope) !! It looked good once before though before turning blue lol

The Yaris is too small I have to be able to get two border collies in the back from time to time. For a small car the Jazz is actually quite big.

I drove my Civic to Heathrow today and must admit the feelings of love started to creep back as I flew on to the M4

Listen here CZ and Broders that car is lucky it hasn't been driven into a Honda showroom window the way it has been behaving - now if it behaves itself after it is fixed I may give it a second chance to prove itself.

Oh wait did I say second chance ?

I mean't twenty second chance

My bro and friends think if I change the Civic I shouldn't touch Honda again but I realise that Honda usually build a good car and I have just had a run of bad luck, at least I hope

When I went o collect my son from school yesterday I came back to the civic to find a guy pulling out in front of mine, he did a complete turn so he was parallel to me car and he said "thats one nice car" !!

As much as I like the jazz now I don't think anyone would give it the same reaction as that. My son said "I told you not to get the jazz! lol

This months Which? magazine has an article on medium size family cars.

There is a comment that the new Civic seems to have a lot of owner reported teething troubles which they have found unusual for Honda and their advice is to hold off buying one just yet.
