New Spaceship
Just picked up my new 2.2 ES NHB Civic with Penta 17" wheels. Looks and drives great. Took a punt on the pentas and the black but I think they look awesome together. 13 days from ordering to picking up. Did 25 miles to do the 2 mile trip home.
Just need civinfo sticker now. |

I thought I recognised where you are parked in the photos!
I'm picking my car (Type-S GT in Milano Red) from Grantham Honda on Saturday. Presumably, you bought from the same dealer. Good to know some other Grantham-based civic drivers are on this forum. Could come in handy, you never know! |

Lucky lad. That NHB does do the business for the Space Ship. Unfortunately YOU'VE gotta keep it that way! The exercise will probably do you good anyway. ......not that you need it!!!! "Smash forehead on keyboard to continue!" Charles H. |

Yes got mine through Grantham Honda. Thought i'd better get some picks while it was still that clean. Dealer was really good unlike Ford 200yds away who could not have been less helpful. |

Hopefully should be less work to clean than the attached which is now going to be rested for shows, holidays and getting dirty again. |

Very nice ...I saw the pentas in the flesh (so to speak) for the first time on Friday and was disapointed I didnt go for them I thought they were darker than they actually are but they're lovely and I would imagine they're well easy to keep looking clean

They seem to avoid it in the car park but have had more near misses driving this than in all my other vehicles put together.
Car wash is a bit deep for the new car though. |

Pictures look great adesg4!
Main reason for Pentas was that I didn't like too much the standard wheels on ES - a little too small for arches and wanted some wheels that will be easy to keep clean! I thought the anthracite shade would look good with black too. ETA delivery for September - really can't wait now I also saw a NHB with the 18" Storm allows and have to say that that really did look awsome, but I dont think I would personally have like the ride.... Enjoy your car! |

Hi Deano
You have made a good choice. I have had the car for 4 weeks now and have done over 1200 miles. Doing 46mpg on average. The NHB takes some cleaning (best to wash in the rain to avoid watermarks and need black polish to avoid white dust all over. I too thought the standard 16" wheels were a bit small and boring. The Pentas look really good on the car and are a breeze to clean as you can get your hand in between the spokes to clean brake dust from the inside of the rims. I have found very few annoying or niggling bits about the car. There is a thin layer of dust gathering on the dash screen at the moment following others feedback on scratches and the car wanders when in the lorry ruts on motorways (probably the wider wheels). Reversing is no problem using the large mirrors, don't miss a rear wiper, rear spoiler cuts down glare from following traffic. The glass roof is great really improves the interior feel, the pulsing of air when the rear windows are open when driving isn't, but I think this is a trait of modern cars. Worst thing is though a large scratch, done by on of my kids, has ben inflicted on it at the weekend. Quite deep, down to the primer, will need to sort this weekend. On the whole extremely pleased with my Civ. 9/10 Enjoy the car when it arrives especially as you have such a long wait. Adrian |
