Unhappy i-Shift Availability

I've just completed a 24h test drive in a 1.8 Sport here in Norway, and I just loved the i-Shift. I've also driven the manual 1.8, but the i-Shift is my choice, no doubt. I had the dealer give me an offer, and then I asked about the delivery time. He made some inquiries and said he could not get me an i-Shift until OCTOBER!

I was really disappointed. He said he'd make some more calls tomorrow, but said this might not just be the case in Norway, but in the whole of Europe?!

If anyone can confirm or unconfirm this or have any input it would be appreciated.

Man, I love this car, but I can't wait until October, and I need an "automatic".

The i-Shift is gaining in popularity and if you want one you might have to wait a bit, but 4 months does seem a long time.

I'm sure the stealer will want to get your Euro's as soon as possible just keep nagging the poor guy!

I agree; well worth the wait. It's a brilliant system.

I think you will probably just have to wait, unless the dealer can pick up a cancelled order in your spec or something. Keep pushing and maybe you'll get lucky

There's one used for sale in Kongsberg. http://www.finn.no/finn/car/object?f...aRgtNrjd534548
That is, if you don't need a new one. It has done 31000 km. If you need a new one, I hope they can cut down the delivery time.
