Warranty Different dealer and Warranty claims

My dealer has refused to fit an R type dash to my S type even though they have admitted the perspex one is scratched and could be replaced under warranty - only like for like they say!

I have read of R type dashes being fitted under warranty.
Could I take my car to another dealer to get the work done?

I dont see why not Tony try ringing another dealer and explaining worth a shot or ring Honda direct. Others have had this done FOC

There does appear to be some discretion available to dealers over what can be claimed on warranty. The fog lights are a good example, with some people getting replacements under the warranty, whilst others are having to pay.
Try a firm but polite approach and see if that gets you anywhere.

Your warranty is from Honda and they use their agents (the stealers) to operate on their behalf.

A freindly chat with another stealer might work as they will be reimbursted by HUK for carrying out the job.

Give it a try son.

Foggy - my dealer has even refused to fit the R type dash if I pay for it. seems they are afraid it might rattle!
