Hopefully soon Civic Owner!

Morning All,

I a besoted with the new Civic's looks both inside & out! As such I am this morning driving down to Ayrshire, hopefully to negotiate a deal on a lowish mileage Civic.

My local branch is offering 10Kish miles on the clock in a 2.2 i-CTDi Sport for 13.5K prior to any of the associated haggling! Quite a few on offer round about this spec but was just looking for a little advice from some of the forum members with regard to what I should be aiming for in terms of haggling the price down.
Initially my own thoughts were to try to get it down to 13K as I thought it was a fairly decent price to start - But never having bought a car let alone a new car I was looking for a few tips or starting points to aid me in my battle with the evil carsales peps

So anyway If anyone could offer me some tips as to what price I should be aiming for I would appreciate it as like I say i am a newbie to this car buying but have set my heart on the 2.2 i-CTDi Sport civic!

Hey Moff, price seems reasonable, £13k is a good start, then look at throwing some extras in. They're more likely to fit accessories than lower the price much further.

Spare wheel, mats and flaps, HFT etc. Golden rule is if you don't ask you don't get!

Hi Moff, remember £13.5 is the sticker price you will almost certainly get money off that. Just remember you can always walk away & see if they call you back. If not just go back an hour later if you like it that much.

Welcome to the site ,Haggle like hell as its a buyers market there are plenty 2nd hand civics out there.
