Leather question

without thinking or checking into it. i assumed that u can add the extra of leather upholsetry to the ex model, but looking around. theres only the option of having the leather and the panoramic sunroof together as one package for £1200 thats 400 ontop of the leather and the heated seats. is this true. or can u request just the leather and heated seats. has anyone asked?

i plan on tryingto get the leather for free when i order the car but i think £1200 maybe a bit too cheeky. or will it? (has anyone else got this for free.?)

Afraid not leather in the EX means a glass roof as well, mind you the leather is absolutely brilliant and the glass roof is great too!

Dont think you'll get it for free to be honest it's worth a shot though as you say it's 1200 quids worth thats a big old freebie!

I've got an NHB EX with the glass roof but no leather? Is this an oddity?

If i have it you must be able to get one or the other (i think)

The glass roof is listed as an option for the EX on it's own for £500.
The leather is only listed with the glass roof for £1200.

islandaire, just to clarify, the 'panoramic sunroof' you mentioned is just a glass roof panel, it doesn't open like a sunroof.

I believe the leather is £800, roof £500, both £1200. Originally, the option was only leather and roof on the EX, but due to demand, they are now offered separately.

The info I posted was from the Honda website, and it doesn't list the leather separately.
Then again, the brochure available to download is the 2006
Time to give the dealer a bell me thinks

To clarify
You can have glass roof with no leather
If you have leather it comes with glass roof!

You could always get the leather after market option from these people or another reputable company.

http://transformleather.co.uk/honda/civic_2006.php

I don't know what the price would be, but a lot less than £1200, I would think.
It also gives you personal choice over the colour and style details, for a truely unique car.

I don't think it will be much cheaper. I had the full leather with door cards as well. Cost around £1100. I think the Transform leather is better than the standard Honda leather as it's softer and the seat sides are leather as well.

I had Black with perforated seat centres and matching door cards all with Silver stitching. They did an excellent job.

i would love to know.

I am with you on the leather debate.
Freezing cold in the winter, boiling hot in the summer and you slide all over it.
But people seem to love it

I never sweat; just gently perspire!

Actually I find leather perfect both winter and summer. It could be the perforated seat centres in the summer and the fact that I tend to wear slightly thicker clothing in the winter. The leather is soft and supple so I never 'slide', the perforations may help as well.

...oh; and that smell of leather is just wonderful....ahhh...

well, i dont drive naked so i wont get stuck to the seat. lol
the seats are heated so in the winter its not problem
in the summer we have climate control. woooohhoooo.
so it will be nice and cool. dont get me wrong i think the standard seats are great, i just fancy the leather, soft, smooth easyer to keep clean hard wearing, smells great. just looks better, but its an individual thing some people like leather setees (sofas, couches) others like fabric. its a choice (with honda an expensive one)
