My Civic Arrives Today

Hello,
Ive just stumbled across your site having decided to by a Civic. Having a quick read through has confirmed ive made the right choice! Decided to go for a Black 2.2 ES after test driving the 2.2 sport at the weekend. Really liked it but wanted either the ES or EX spec. An ex demo black ES became available so my name is now on it! Pretty sure Ive made the right choice with the ES, probably get more use out of the pana roof than the sat nav ( got tomtom for when I get lost! ) Going to have a look at my actual car tonight, anything I should look out for before I hand over the cash!?
Anyone else made the jump from 307 110 Dturbo to a diesel civic? Whats the comparisons? I hoping for a marked jump in all departments!
Cheers
Rob

Good call Rob!

there is a 'new car pick up checklist' in here - in the Wiki I think, that is worth taking with you

Not had a 307, but the wife had a 206 - NO comparison to the Civ

welcome aboard too!

I jump from a 307 110 cv but petrol to a diesel civic... And the Civic is far away better than the 307 (without speaking about reliability).
Handling : Better
Cornering : Better
Inside Style : Mmmm you know what I mean
Motor : Civic has the best diesel engine in this category !

The only things I would have appreciate to find on the civic are :
Auto folding wing mirrors
Auto lighting of the headlamp with the wipers

Trust me you will not regret it !

I've gone from a 90bhp hdi 307 to a 2.2 EX. I'd agree with l-noel, the civic is better all round. Another thing I've found so far (done 1700 miles) is that the fuel economy is also better (doing the same sort of journeys as I did in the 307).

My wife has gone from a 65Bhp Clio DCi to the 2.2Civic!!! Now that IS a change

Unfortunately I had to trade in my clio with sat nav and have hers . Oh well, I use it as a bargaining tool to nick the Civ as much as possible
