Warranty Warranty extension ???

Hello, the local Honda salesperson told me something I have never heard of, I can not even find it on the internet:
He told me that although you have only 3 years warranty, every time you come in for a regular service maintenance it gets extended by 1 year (after the 3 years have run out). So if you go once a year for maintenance, you could get years and years of warranty... Does anybody know what he is talking about?

That doesn't sound correct. So if I keep the car for 12 years, Honda will give me 9 years extra Warranty Free! At my current annual mileage that would be @ 500,000 miles on the clock.

You will find that If its true, it will be a limited offer. Years and Miles.

I think he got it wrong....I know you can "buy" (extend) your warranty for 2-3 years max....

It could be that the items replaced at the service get a full years warranty, so if, for example, a spark plug broke it would be replaced under warranty.
I doubt it would cover other parts though.
It could be something to do with the bodywork warranty and rust inspections.

Hi babyjoe, on yr next visit back to the dealer, i would be asking for clarification of the salesperson warranty offer (if it's true). On the face of it it sounds just pure sales talkto me.......
