Delivery time Delayed Type R

Hi,

I purchased a new Type R GT (Milano Red) on 19th May from a dealer in Glasgow. Was originally told a delivery date of July. This was then shitfed to August and I was told yesterday that it will now be September.

Has anyone else experienced such delays or does this appear to be a one off case??

That must be annoying.
To be excited to drive your Type-R throughout the summer and now you have to wait till september.
Uncool.

How disapointing, but the only upside is you'll get the new 57 reg when it arrives.

I hope you'll enjoy it when it finally arrives.

Was it Hyndland as mine was the same August now 1st Sept

Yup, have the same issue with my TypeS order.
I ordered it at the beginning of May and was told June, then later told July (no day just July).

I was finally given an actual day last week of 27th July, except they said it's not actually confirmed, but can be a couple of days earlier or later.

I've just asked today if they can now delay it until the 57 plate.

No it was Henry's Honda on the southside! Not impressed!!

Your dealer was probably telling porky at the time so you would put an order with him.
Most people would have to wait around three months atm, so your new date is more inline with what other peolple had been quoted.

Incidentally, I ordered mine right towards the end of May, and the expected date given at the time was mid September (3.5 months).
