Personally, I love the standard alloys on the Type-S. Wouldn't want to replace them, especially as upping the alloys also increases road noise inside the cabin (the demo I had before buying had 18s)

I had the same reservations as you, but I can testify that my 18" blades on a Type S GT are no noisier than when I had 17" on my Megane.
I tested a GT with 17" and I really can't tell the difference, and I do a good mix of driving on motorways, A-Roads, crappy Glaswegian pot-holed streets. The Megane was very noisy in the road department full stop, but I've had the Civic for about 4 weeks now, and I'm very happy. Also, the ride is a lot better than I imagined it would be too. Again, it's better than the Megane on 17s. |

Not sure about any deals a such other than whatever discount you can get from the dealers. Pays to shop around.
I also think the Blade alloys look great. Worth a thought |

Oh, and try www.drivethedeal.com to find the sort of discount available. I'd be asking a dealer to at least match that price.

I'm currently looking for a very similar car to yourself - Bronze, 2.2 Type S with 18" Blades. I've been to 3 honda dealers - 2 are very cagey and aren't willing to talk about discounts unless I go in with a deposit and the third offered me this car for £17900 approx (inc metallic and blades).
Does anyone have any recommendations for good dealers (i.e. will give good prices!! Thanks |

A month ago I ordered a 2.2 type S GT in NHB with blade 18" alloys and a spoiler from Fishbrothers in Swindon. With the £80 personal plate transfer fee it came to a total £18,500 which isn't the best deal around but probably gives you a basis.
It's due to arrive mid August but I'll wait until September the 1st I think...........while its waiting there I reckon I'll end up getting the trim colour coded as then it should look pretty sweet. |
