1. Try pushing the tailgate, once it's almost closed, by the spoiler - just above the high-level brake light.
This works for me 9 times out of 10. I've had trouble shutting it by pushing anywhere else.

2. Agreed that the steering is too light at speed but, as Brodick says, you'll get used to it and develop a delicate touch.
Unfortunately, Lady Dosser has yet to achieve steering Nirvana so our route along the Motorway is the average of continual side-to-side mini-swerves!

3. I thought it was just me that found the turning circle a bit on the large side. Perhaps you get some advice from the "drivers" at Sullum Voe. (Sp?)

Enjoy zooming around the Zetlandic Archipelago in your new motor.

FWD usually means bad turning circle - is the Civ worse that average?
I found information (from the press, not Honda) saying 11m turning circle.
They also say that the car is 176cm wide. Not sure how the 11m are measured, inner, centre or outer - anyone know what the standard is?

Same press say: - turning circle in meters with car width in cm -
Astra - 10,8 (176)
Golf - 10,9 (176)
Focus - 10,9 (170)
1-series - 10,7 (175)
A-class - 10,95 (176)
Corolla- 10,3 (171)

If this info is right - then although Honda are bottom of the list, the differance is not that big compared to most (Corolla impresses for once though!).
