[Freebies] Different floor mats

There are a lot of threads about floor mats, but couldn´t find the answer to this.

Do all Honda floor mats use the same type of anchor?

I am considering 2 sets of mats.
Fabric for summer and rubber for winter.

But will they be easily swapable fitting onto the same anchors?

I also considered getting rubber mats for the winters here in Norway. But after using the fabric mats for several weeks now, also in some muddy conditions. I would say the fabric mats will be easier to clean than the rubber mats which always will have some dirt left on them.

The fabric is quite special and no dirt seems to stick to it. Simply take it out and smash it around a bit. I've also rinsed them with water one time and they're as good as new.

I would think that it would be fairly simple to drill a couple of holes in third party mats and use a sort of metal/hard plastic washer to make it look neat?

08 Models have a new design to the floor pan hence the mats are a different shape
AND
They don't have the same anchor arrangement
So check carefully if you're buying carpet or rubber mats

I assume that the mat anchors are standard. Can someone post a pic of how it should look? (With and without mat.)

Here is how it looks on mine...

You are certainly correct. These are the 08 mats. It is not like they move around under my feet, but if there is supposed to be an anchor there I want it :P

You will find that there are some small pre-cut 'cuts' on the floor carpet ready for the clips that come with the mats. Just need a small penknife to cut all the way through. See photo of my driver side mat. The passenger side is the same.

I bought my mats off Holdcroft Honda and they came with fitting instructions. It only took 3-4 minutes to fit both. Once the clips are in place, place mat over top and turn the 'screw' to keep in place.
