Thumbs down Type S Lead Times

Just been speaking to someone at Drive the Deal and they're saying that the current wait for a standard Type S is 20 weeks!

Twenty weeks for Vivid Blue!

I can't believe it!

Apparently Type S GTs are available in mid September, but not the standard ones....

the type S GT is much more popular then the standard car you would be much better of having a Type S GT when you come to part exchange.
If I can be of any help purchasing a Civic please call me.

Well I ordered a NHB Type S 1.8 two weeks ago with a lead time of 10 weeks - which was confirmed by the dealer a few days ago.

Have now got me worried about when it will arrive!

HI Seppy8410
the dealer may have had one on order allready but 10 weeks from 2 weeks ago seems about right for a standard Type S. just make sure that they keep you updated with progress of where the car is . ps enjoy the car

I'm after a diesel. Think that's why the wait. I could get a petrol well quick.

Hya folks - Soon to be new civic owner, having migrated from a Peugeot.

Ordered a black Type S GT with sat nav etc about 4 weeks ago, and was told at the time it would be 20 weeks. Tried changing colour to dark blue, but discovered that was the same - Might see it in October I think

So I now have a reasonably exclusive coloured Civic

I think that Honda is making a mistake withdrawing Vivid Blue, it really suits the Type S

Bah humbug, there goes the exclusivity

But it does sound like your demo is a damn near perfect example of the breed

vivid blue stopped

Hi all
just to clarify vivid blue is being stopped for the 2008 model year cars and being replaced with a colour called Tangerine orange . similiar to the one first seen on the civic concept. these cars will be built from october.
