Dieseldriver, I agree with you on this one. I have never owned a brand new car, maybe next time (my civic was 9 months old when i bought it). I would do the same and wait 3 weeks for the new plate, as long as you have a car to get about in in the meantime. Part of the fun of anything is looking forward to it. Maybe i'm a saddo too

Jools100 I do have a car at present, it maybe different if I didn't? 3 weeks (on sat) isn't that long to wait....
I am really looking forward to picking the car up, but reading through some of the issues with batteries and HFT I hope the car doesn't disapoint when I do - (as I will have it for the next 3 years!).....
