I agree I couldnt get the salesman to throw in the mats, it was a little annoying. The salesman said the profit margin was so tight that they couldnt afford to do it....my arse.

I left the mats until the end. I'd have walked away if they'd had said no.

Ordered my 2.2 i-CTDi ES on Monday (12/06/06) after test driving one on the Saturday and it will be at the dealers for the three day prep by the 30/07/06.

Can't wait coming out of the company car scheme that has been ceased at work, so this is the first car that i've bought for a while, the only problem is is that i have to put up with four year old old shape megane 2.0 IDE that is misfiring so bad that it looks lke i have no clutch control at lights and roundabouts, Renualt can't find anything wrong, they wanna try opening the bonnet, the problem will be staring back at them.

Lo all, just signed up and somewhat relieved to see it isn't just me being kept waiting

Ordered my 2.2 i-CTDi ES (Galaxy Grey/17" Penta/Connect Pack) at the start of March and told delivery mid-June. That's been slipping now one or two weeks at a time, usually when I get within a week of the expected date

Anyway, latest is 27 July which is a week away so here's hoping. Can't wait

Great site btw

I was lucky to get mine delivered last February within just a week reason was that the dealer here in Finland had one extra car which hadn't been used at all, so it wasn't any demo piece.
If I had ordered it normally at that time, I would have got my car in June, they told me they had a small lot reserved from the factory which were guaranteed for delivery that month.

Moi pikkumies

It's indeed a amazing car, I've never enjoyed driving this much like I do with this car, used to drive a SAAB 9-3 for many years before this The difference is like between day and night, anyway SAAB wasn't that bad but it felt a lot heavier and not that fun to handle.

I ordered my Civic EX 1.8 on the 2nd July.
They had one coming in to stock in my spec and I took delivery on the 17th July.

If you are flexible about colour and don't need any factory fit extras you can usually get what you want.

Apparently dealers cant get diesel EX models with leather until November at the earliest. I tried to get one to replace the diesel accord, but no go so have gone for a 1.8 instead.

What's going on?

I had to wait only 4 weeks for a galaxy grey diesel EX with leather and glass roof, and could have had an alabaster silver to same spec in about the same time. However I was quoted November/December (this was in June) for other colours.

I have now had the galaxy grey one for about 10 days, and so far I'm very pleased, and getting 51 mpg with air con in full time use!

Well we've ordered a 1.8 EX in Cosmic Grey from Lookers, Nottingham and after placing the order on 11th July were quoted 27th July +/-2 days. However, as of yet we've heard nothing, so fingers crossed it doesn't get delayed!

Regards

Ordered mine the day after yours (1.8 EX in Cosmic Grey but with i-shift) was quoted the same date by Brayley's in Hemel. Spoke to the dealer Friday he says its running a bit late, something to do with transporters. Anyway my HRV's Tax and MOT runs out at the end of the month so need to figure what to do, can't see it being ready by the 31st unless it shows up tomorrow still needs the reversing sensors to be installed and supraguarded

Hope history doesn't repeat itself, when I got my Wife's Jazz 18 month's ago it took 2 weeks longer than the original quoted delivery date!

Just arrange for the dealer to sort out the supaguard and sensors after handing the car over?

We're having a reversing camera as the extra...the dealers gave us their "pack" anyway, which appears to include mats, fuel and supraguard (very nice of them!) The only time, moving on to transporters (!), I've ever seen a Civic on the move is on a load of car wagons at Doncaster Station! Never seen any on a road transporter!

Regards
