Type R GT Ordered Yesterday

Hi,

I have done it, ordered my Milano Red Type R GT, with extras inc Tracker, Bass boost speaker system, Red interior lighting + a few other bits & bobs.

It is the demonstrator at my local dealer & has cover 3609 miles,

I have paid 17'994 for it, I thought this was a really good deal

I tested both The Type & R but fell in love with the R instantly,

I have to wait till 01/10/2007 to pick it up and cannot wait !!

My insurance company demands a tracker, they are installing it for free, but i need to pay a yearly fee of 100 pounds for the first three years... If you do it private you probably pay a small ammount for the Tracker but need to pay a regular fee for them to have yoiu in their tracking database in case of needing to find it sometime.

I guess it would knock of a couple of hundered punds on your insurance, but better phone and ask...

That seems a while to have to wait to pick up an ex-demonstrator - I only had to wait 4 days for my ex-demo Type S. Any reason for the delay? Obviously if you've put your deposit down you're going to want to make sure they don't let anyone else drive it.

I know, but there is a "Race", "normal" and "GT" and so far everyone have either the "Race" or "GT" (99% GT) and i have not seen anyone that ordered it... plain, without any extras. Who needs AC anyway! :O

Mine is also due for delivery on 1st October - Silver CTR GT , only options were mats, spare wheel and 5 year service package for £500 (good value)

For Anar non GT , your CTR will at least be slightly faster without air con compressor etc!!

Yarrr!

I really wanted the Race-version but the wait time (6 months) made me reconsider and take the non-GT.

At least here in sweden, there is a Race-edition available. Weighs in at 20kg below non-GT and thus about 40kg below GT. It has no extra stuff (as the non-GT) but has harder suspension and even less sound insulation.

The engine, interior and exterior is exactly the same tho, as is the price (to the non-GT).

I'm new on here but have always been a Honda fan ... S2000 owner etc etc!

Am about to cancel Milano Red Type-R GT 19" wheels, due very soon, anyone know if my £1000 deposit will 'easily' be refunded ... changed circumstances, currently working abroad but wasn't when ordering??!!

Sadness abounds ...
