FreeWayCars - online broker

Hey everyone, Spartan here!

Just joined today, if your wondering who the hell I am, check out my hello post here - http://www.civinfo.com/forum/yowzer-vt813.html

Anyway, just wondering if any of yous have heard of the online car broker - FreeWayCars? I have ordered my new Civic off them and they seem to be pretty good so far *touch wood*. They knocked around 650 quid off the price off the car straight off which was great, and i've got my finance deal with them. Using my 1.1 Citroen C2 as part-exchange which is going towards my deposit, keeps my monthly payments quite low!

My new baby should be delieved in the first week of October, the guy in the Honda garage I spoke to said they were selling Civics as fast as they can make them, so there is always going to be a wait! Hope these next couple of months fly by because I can hardly wait now! Im so excited!!!!

I hope everything goes through OK though, I haven't done anything like this before, I bought my C2 from a normal Citroen dealer, and I was going to get a Civic from an official Honda dealer as well, but there finance deals just took the mickey and the monthly payments were too high, so I looked on the internet and found a company that offers pretty good APR rates and gave me a decent(ish) price for my C2! Although, I may be able to sell my C2 privately before then for more money, so I may just be able to give them the cash instead - which would be better! Will just have to see!

Anyway, can anyone put my mind at ease? Are these Car Brokers OK?

I'm looking at using www.drivethedeal.co.uk for mine, they will knock £1440 off a fully specced EX with sunroof, 18"'s and leather.

Used them to buy my MK V golf GTi and they were fantastic.

Never heard of the one you have ordered from though

I had a good look at drivethedeal, but they don't accept your car for part-exchange - which wasn't good for me. But your right, they do knock a nice amount off the OTR price of cars!

Fingers crossed that FreeWayCars don't let me down!

Freeway are part of Halifax Bank of Scotland so it is not in their interest to let you down!

I am probably about to order through them as the PCP rates are very good.

Will do - it's a 350z roadster we are after and Nissan can't get close to the figures that Freeway are offering. The APR is lower and there is a higher guaranteed future value (therefore a bigger balloon payment at the end) which means that they are about 60 quid month cheaper than Nissan finance.

Mind you, it helps that I work for the parent company.... :P

You can order your car through anyone (brokers, etc) and still use Freeway to finance the car!

So, find it cheaper on DriveTheDeal (for example), buy through them, and then get the PCP through Freeway.

That is interesting! Bearing in mind that they have reduced the purchase price to match the monthly payment, there is potential to get it down even further...

Bah! Honda phoned today and my car has been put back to the 13th October which is annoying. They did claim though that the date could easily come forward again - the woman said that she had just got a batch of civics in today which weren't due until the 10th September, so some lucky souls are going to get a nice surprise when they find out their gorgeous new cars are early!
