Once I can persuade my other half that the rear view is NOT that big an issue as you have 2 crackin'wing mirrors that are there to complement the rear view mirror ...........I will be on the phone to the dealer I visited on saturday.
Fancy the 1.8 Sport for the HID lights and the larger wheels but would not complain too much if an ES was ordered instead. Both come with nice spec IMHO Colour wise the Galaxy Grey may just be the ticket as a change from Silver as my last 2 cars have been silver. I seen a picture on the wiki of a Civic in a Cosmos Grey and it looked very nice but presume it's a colour removed from the production lines like champagne silver has been. But red was great aswell..........this could be a hard choice Dealer told me that no change to 2008 Civic speck apart from EX and all he could see was the rear parking sensors being added to that. He pulled up a web page on the Honda dealer private site and it clearly had no changes to teh Sport or ES spec to I guess I'll be placing an order asap...once the missus gives in. Seems a great drivers car........test drives had me smiling all the way through and not really wanting to give the car back which is a good sign....1.8 engine is great compared to my 1.4fsi golf's |

now is probably the wrong time to tell you to test drive the diesel then...
Yep, Cosmos grey disappeared about 9 months or so ago You could, however go for Orange! (actually, I'm not sure it's available on the Sport, but that possibly doesn't matter anyway |

I also agree with TT that you should give the 2.2 a blast, you might be pleasantly surprised The silver is great, but if I was buying again I'd be tempted by the orange or Glaxy grey. |

they'd certainly be handy CZ
much as I like the other colours, think the next one will be NHB too, if I can persuade the decision maker that we can cope with 3 doors Or might go red if we get another 5 door. or something LOL But back on track PJ - only take the 2.2 out for a drive if you really really can justify the extra cost Cos once driven, you'll be smitten... |

I reckon from almost everywhere I've read that the diesel has so much torque that it does make it the obvious choice.
Coming from a 1.4 golf a petrol lawn mower will porobably have more oomph I might ask the dealer for a wee run in the diesel this coming weekend but I fear that once I've driven it there may well be a wee domestic Just seen on Autoexpress site that Civic Type R gets a top 6 placing for greatest drives.........now how can I persuade her that we should be buying that beautiful beast ???? Might end up with Galaxy Gray...albeit the dealer has a NHB in stock. |

LOL - it's one of those dilemas...
start off with a 1.8 Sport. Or maybe an ES. Or add a bit more for a 2.2... But then the R is only a bit more than that... |

On the subject of colour, the dealer was fairly chatty when I was in and having asked what colours he thought were better for the car, he did feel NHB was well smart, but was a pain to keep looking at it's best.
Was working out whether I should try the 2.2 but methinks I'd end up needing to borrow more than I want to..... Got another test drive lined up for saturday, which will be D-day as my dear wife will either accept the rear view as an annoyance or I'll maybe end up driving a Skoda fabia !! |
