Used Buying a used Black 08 2.2 i-ctdi EX

Hi all

I've managed to place a deposit on used Black 08 2.2 i-ctdi

It has around 68k on the clock, full Honda service history, 2 owners one ex demo honda and one 50 year old surveyor. 12 months warranty and AA cover for a year.

The car comes with the standard EX features plus black leathers and the Pan sun-roof.

As the car is up for £9k, I've managed to secure it for £8k with a little haggling.

Just wanted to know if I need to look out for anything when I give the car a good viewing this evening. Deposits refundable

Plus am I paying a good price for the car?

Any help on short notice would be grateful

PS. Parking sensors and heated seats too. Will have some images of the car today once viewed

But test that clutch!

Seems from the threads ive read clutch is the main thing that goes on these so will confirm it before I hand over the hard earned ££££

Put the grand you saves on a cg paddle clutch and a remap!!!

Id love to have the ££££ to buy a diesel and remap it some very nice figures on here and the egr delete would be good (as egrs serve no purpose to the driver only the stupid environment!)

My budget was £7.5k but the bank of the MRs kicked in

I was never going to pay £9k for one. But Remap is a thread i've already looking into.

Hopefully if all goes well I will remap on Saturday, that shouldn't affect the 12 months warranty provided do you think?

Do many of you declare the remap to insurance too? How much more would that then cost?

So guys went to see the car last night. Had two paint chips on the bonnet that they are going to address and slight alloy wheel scuff.

The drivers side leather lumber end was slightly worn but said they will try look into that

Bar that the car looked good with the pan roof. Its black so needs a decent polish and buff minor scratches out.

Should be looked at and hopefully ready for collection next Weds I think.

I forgot to take snaps of it. But just over told the sales guy about ensuing the EGR valve was cleared, brakes to be checked and clutch

Other than that it seemed fine.

about remaps honda wont be able to tell! unless they thrash the nuts of it in which case ask them why they did lol

Woo Hoo had a phone call car is due for collection tonight. Insurance sorted with Admiral too roll on 5pm!
