Not long now

This time tomorrow I shall be the proud owner of a Civic 2.2 SE and no doubt have a huge grin on my face On my way home last night a white van nearly took me out and as I pondered my close shave I wondered how many people have had their car wrecked just before taking delivery of a new one or worse still had a prang in their new car shortly after taking delivery.

Wahey!

Many years ago, I was part ex-ing a knackered old Fiesta for a not so knackered or old Mazda 323 (the flip up headlight GTi version )

On the 15 mile trip to drop it off at the dealer, the exhaust went from sounding fine, to blowing, to snapping in half...

Luckily they saw the funny side, and only knocked a couple of quid off the part ex price

I'm sure it happens all the time, people getting caught up with the excitement of getting a new car etc.

CZ always remains cool though

What a freaky coincidence this thread is! Last night, the day before picking my new car up. Someone did actually drive in to the side of me!!

On a T juntion and I was pulling in to the side road and well, the other guy thought I wasn't (despite my indicator!), pulled out and hit my (driver side rear) wheel rather than the body work - made a good old crash bang wallop noise and threw the car sideways a bit. Didnt even see it coming as he was out of my line of view and suddenly there was this bang!
Was a shame as the car was immaculate up to that day and I was just starting to think that I may miss it when it goes, not not its damaged I won't - can't be seen in a car with scratches Damage to alloy and some scuff marks on rear bumper

Oh boy! The surge of power as the turbo kicks in is just amazing. Still playing with the computer but the only thing I've changed is to reset Trip A when refuelling. Too early to say how the economy will work out but it looks excellent so far.

Photo's to follow.

Sounds like we have another i-CTDi fan!

Play with the speed warning alarms as well - I put one on at 75mph - it's useful as you don't notice the speed!

Not long now for me either, the dealer just called me and has given me my new reg no. My CTR GT in silver is now due in next Saturday, two weeks before schedule!
