We did last wk

We collected our 1.8SE Milano red a wk last Sunday from the dealer which was 70 odd miles away in Chippenham. My advice is to take a digital camera, a microfibre cloth and a checklist to make sure your happy with it before you drive it away. I questioned a few tiny marks on the paintwork but they did polish out with a bit of polish when we got home. Actually, I forgot to take a cloth with me at the time so was a bit worried.
I also took a photo of the mileage; it was 3 miles only so just enough to fill it with fuel. I couldn't get the floor matts thrown in so we took some old ones along so as not to mess up the interia. Make sure you check every electrical thing etc and take your time.
They didn't want to make much of a fuss over us as we had done the order thr drivethedeal.com so they were a bit p1ssed off, we got a good price vs the dealer's best offer. Mind you, the car has the wheel lock-nuts fitted on the std 16" alloys - i didn't order them so was suprised to find then at no cost.

I got my finance sorted yesterday, my CTR GT should be delivered sometime today, I'm still awaiting for the dealer to call me to confirm this. Lets hope its not delayed as I would like the car for the weekend. Should nt the dealer go through the whole car and check that everything works? I was also given 7 days free insurance which started on wed, that was a waste of time as the car still has nt arrived! What was the point of that???

Being cynical but I guess your dealer has started the 7 day free insurance so the car is registered in September, thus being included in this months sales figures. I may be wrong though !

Make sure you get a FULL tank of petrol and check that you get the wheel lock nuts and removal tool.

Pick it up yourself as you can go over everything with the dealer and anyway you will enjoy it more picking it up as it`s far more exciting.

Good luck, enjoy it and let us know how you get on

Yes sorry I knew that I forgot something, the full tank of petrol was on the list too! I have just called the dealer and the car will be delivered tomorrow and will be ready for picking up on Saturday. Apart from that they gave me the wrong plate number, there was a mix up??? Dont ask me how they can tax the car with a different number plate???

Arrived at the garage all excited and there is a 57 FRV 1.8 ES waiting for me.

Salesman said that my car would be arriving middle of next week and this was the loan car we talked about.

He mentioned that I'd have one for a day if they took my old a day early as they wanted my old car asap (Citroen C4 VTS 180). Hmmmm. Now have a bus, an automatic at that. He described as a 'better' car too.
