Hi cgsuk,
I bought my 2nd hand civic from D&F maidstone on wednesday 3rd oct. I dealt with Alex, a real genuine nice guy who is willing to help, not like your normal salesman who just goes in for the Kill!!!!!
One thing I will say is watch D&F, this is the third car I have bought from them and I have had trouble with both previous cars, not the car's failure but the dealer 'forgetting' to do stuff, silly things like stamping the service book etc....oh and make sure you go over the whole car for damage as the 2nd car I bought had some nice scratches on the bumper which I could not prove they had done even though I know they did them!!!....I had only owned the car for 50 minutes... i was not happy....they charged me for a paintstick and denied the damage.....they did eventually spray the bumper....twice due to getting the colour wrong first time!!!! They only sprayed it because it was compensation for forgetting to do some serious safety recalls on the 2nd car, if I had not checked with the manufacture whether they had been done they would never of been done......
I suspect your thinking why does he keep going back to them if they are failing in some areas of the dealership...better the devil you know then the one you don't. They know what to expect from me...grief...and I know what to expect from them ...problems!!!!!
Don't let that put you off, all dealers are the same...I should know I worked in one for 13 years on the workshop floor!!!! They were really Bad!!!

Note all the above are my experiences, may be I have just caught them on a bad day......others may have had no problems.

I will use there Ashford branch for servicing and work, mainly because I trained one of the technicians as he was my apprentice. and also I worked with another one and know what there quality of work is like.....ok from my experience.
Enjoy the car, it looks great.

Regards Pumatron.

I had my Civic serviced at D & F Maidstone a couple of weeks ago & the service I received from them was second to none. They were also £20 cheaper than Ashford where I bought the car from. As Pumatron said just check it over before you drive off.
