Trade-in miles whilst waiting for Civic

I do about 500 miles a week sometimes. Since I will have had to wait 6 - 7 weeks before my Civic arrives, my trade-in will have another 3,000 miles on it by the time we take delivery.
Will this cause any problems since the sale agreement stated it had 28,000 miles on it when I signed the purchase agreement?

If the agreement actually says number of miles when signing contract rather than when taking delivery of the new car then you should be ok.

Usually dealers will value by age for example in my case the part ex was valued at an agreed figure but was reduced on a monthly basis to take into account the 2 months waiting time (2 months older) and the increased mileage was also allowed for on the same basis

Don't worry about it. If they do mention it just say "OK we'll forget the deal then" and ask for your deposit back, then just see how quick they'll forget about the extra miles.

Seriously though you'll be fine, they'll probably not even look at your car when you take it in.
