Excited now....

...my dealer called yesterday. Apparently the delivery time of my shiny new Type-R has come forward by a whole month!

Instead of the end of November, it's now the end of October. That works out as a six week wait. Not bad I thought.

That is quick, was it a cancelled order?

I pick mine up on Friday after a 10 week wait.

Thats good news. I have been waiting almost 13 weeks now! I'm still waiting on my dealer calling me back to arrange a pick up of the car.

I thought it was so nice of the dealer to call me at 10.28 on Thursday morning to tell me that the car was being delivered and that he would call me back to arrange a pick up date, but i'm still waiting.

Needless to say I will be on the phone tomorrow to the guy who owns the dealership in question to tell him what shoddy service I have had.

As far as I am aware it wasn't a cancelled order. I suppose it could well have been, but basically the dealer had simply looked at his computer system and it was showing a month earlier than anticipated. He then had the courtesy to give me a ring and tell me so that I could sort out insurance and so on.

Maybe it just depends more on which vehicles are rolling down the track in Swindon on a particular day.

Fantastic news! I am both happy and jealous but glad for you. DOn't forget when you have spent 2 hours at the dealership and, the another few hours driving your new toy, remember to post some pics for those of us who still have to wait.
