My car Ordered ES CTDi today, delivery next week!

I signed the order today for a diesel ES in Galaxy Grey: the dealers had a Champagne one in stock, but I prefer the subtlety of the almost bronze colour! Got what I consider a good deal, not quite DTDdotcom's price but within a couple of hundred, and all from my local dealer. Well chuffed. Hope the delivery happens as stated, cars apparently either being built or on a transporter in Swindon ready to go.

Thats great news! Even better that you don't have to really wait too long! Enjoy the car when it arrives and don't forget the pics!

Well, car arrived on Friday (late) picking it up tomorrow at 2pm. Already having a few glitches as the dealer is poor at returning calls. A "polite" whinging email had an instant response though. Funny that! I don't like the pursed lips and sharp intakes of breath routine! Still looking forward to getting the car, although if this dealer nonsense persists I will be going further afield.

They can be as obstinate as they like. As long as the car is reliable. I would consider myself an exacting customer and like a lot of people on here, I would consider myself as being more knowledgable than some of the dealers. (Alan Day were a joke!)

hope you are enjoying your new drive ive just taken delivery of a alabaster silver 2.2 es the drive and quality are great as is the performance.

Got it yesterday. It's lovely but I haven't had time to drive it yet! Apart from home from the dealer. No squeaks or rattles and the engine is in a different league from the VW PD unit and also the Mercedes IL 320 CDi. Much quieter. Spent the first afternoon putting a coat of Autobalm on it and installing a Blaupunkt THb 200a sub below the rear seat... sounds and looks cool. Long drive due on Saturday!
